Making A Difference With Events.

We can’t do it without you! Alta Mira relies on state funds and grants, which only go so far. Your support of our Annual Appeal ensures that we continue providing services and supports to our communities. Donating and supporting our agency makes a considerable impact on someone’s life.

Since 1985, we value the uniqueness of each individual and the family that they are part of. Our focus is to support the natural integration of an individual’s daily life into that of their family and community. 

Signature Events

Alta Mira Drives for IDD 2024, held on September 18, 2024, was an event where everyone came out to have fun, play, and support the IDD community. The goal, which was achieved, was to top last year’s Signature Event held at TOPGOLF in income, community awareness, and highlighting the IDD community. The Guest Host for this tournament was Sarah Friedman, who played with her mom, Shari, and Alta Mira Staff on the Guest Host Team. GREAT NEWS!  We doubled the number of teams over last year. And from what we learned from the golfers, we also doubled the FUN!

This leg of our Annual Appeal generated pledges and support including monetary and in-kind for the Silent Auction and Raffle for a total of $29,024.59. Exclusive Media Support of $33,260.00 reached English and Spanish language audiences. The net monetary income for this event is $15,618.88. Annual Appeal 2023/2024

On June 1, 2023, we began our drive to raise $250,000.00 by December 31, 2024. As of November 4, 2024, we have raised $203,700.25, leaving fifty-eight days to raise $46,299.75, an average of $798.27 per day. That translates to the cost of 114 lattes, daily, or two hundred and fifty one-time donations of $185.10.

As the agency ushers in the new year, 2024 starts the COUNTDOWN TO 40! Alta Mira Specialized Family Services Inc. turns forty in 2025. We are looking for forty images that tell Alta Mira’s story. We are asking staff, BOD members, and our community to share an image that best reflects their involvement and the agency’s impact on the IDD Community. In December 2024, we will create a timeline storybook with images, historical info, and quotes commemorating four decades of service. What story do you have to share? Past Events 2024

Alta Mira Drives for IDD 2024. On September 18, 2024, our community came out for our 2nd Annual Signature Golf Tournament & Silent Auction/Raffle held at TOPGOLF.  It was unFOREgettable! All Golf Teams SOLD OUT! This is an event where everyone can play regardless of skill. Thanks to everyone supporting and sponsoring this incredibly fun, critical fundraising effort. Everyone Deserves A Chance To Play.  Our community joined us in May for two Special Events held at ¡explora! Our Early Childhood Services and Family Supports Services Departments hosted two separate events that were free to the IDD community on a First-to-RSVP basis.  A special thanks to ¡explora! for your support.
