THE RESULTS ARE IN:

Alta Mira Drives for IDD 2024, held on September 18, 2024, was an event where everyone came out to have fun, play, and support the IDD community. The goal, which was achieved, was to top last year’s Signature Event held at TOPGOLF in income, community awareness, and highlighting the IDD community. The Guest Host for this tournament was Sarah Friedman, who played with her mom, Shari, and Alta Mira staff on the Guest Host Team. GREAT NEWS!  We doubled the number of teams over last year. And from what we learned from the golfers, we also doubled the FUN!

Annual Appeal:  On June 1, 2023, we began our drive to raise $250,000.00 by December 31, 2024. This leg of our Annual Appeal generated pledges and support including monetary and in-kind for the Silent Auction and Raffle for a total of $29,024.59. Exclusive Media Support of $33,260.00 reached English and Spanish language audiences. The net monetary income for this event is $15,618.88. Join us again next September for Alta Mira Drives for IDD 2025! 

We can’t do it without you!  Alta Mira Specialized Family Services Inc. relies on state funds and grants, which only go so far. Your support of our Annual Appeal ensures that we continue providing services and supports to our communities through community support and fundraising. Donating and supporting our agency considerably impacts the IDD community through Alt Mira’s lifespan services; there is still more work to do.

BACK STORY:

Imagine the stress of new parents when they are told their child will not develop like other children. Imagine not knowing how to care for children with intellectual/developmental risks, delays or disabilities. Then imagine parents whose child is evaluated early and their relief when learning their concerns are short-term. Or, in circumstances that require lifespan services, parents and caregivers learn that Alta Mira Specialized Family Services Inc. supports the IDD community with lifespan services.

EVENT DETAILS:

Alta Mira Drives for IDD 2024  Date: Wednesday September 18, 2024. Time: 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM. A Mix and Mingle begins at 5:30 PM. The Tournament begins at 6:00 PM. The Tournament & Silent Auction held at TOPGOLF is an event where everyone can play regardless of skill. We are looking for organizations and individuals to support this incredible effort. • 6:00 – 6:15 PM warm-up and practice;
• 6:15 – 6:30 PM announcements, game rules, and demonstration;
• 6:30 – 8:30 PM tournament + special holes and contests;
• 6:00 – 9:00 PM raffle/silent auction;
• 6:30 – 8:00 PM Fajita Fiesta buffet service – available for 90 minutes;
• 8:30 – 9:00 PM Winners announced, thank you and closing statements;
• Total Gameplay 3 hours, two rounds
